Sunday School

We are currently experimenting with a new format for Sunday School. Children begin in worship with their families, leave for Sunday School before the readings, and return to the sanctuary during the sharing of the peace. Kids are always welcome to remain in worship if that’s best for your family.

We have two age groups for children’s Sunday School at Grace (though they often meet together).

Godly Play (Age 3 – Grade 2)

Godly Play uses stories, figurines, and hands-on materials to invite children into the wonder of the Bible. Lessons create space for curiosity, imagination, and reflection as kids begin to connect their own lives with God’s story.

First Followers (Grades 3 – 5)

First Followers helps bridge the gap between Godly Play and our Confirmation program. Building on the Godly Play format, kids explore the Gospel lesson more deeply through conversation, Bible skills, and connections to everyday life. Each session also emphasizes friendship and community, encouraging relationships that will carry into their teen years and beyond.

Communion Classes

We celebrate communion with people of all ages, trusting God’s gift of grace. Families decide when children begin receiving communion, and we offer annual classes for those who want to learn more or prepare for their first communion. The class concludes with a celebration during worship and a small gift for each participant.

✨ We look forward to welcoming your family to Grace!
